Akismet is a Wordpress plugin that looks for comment spam in blogs, moves the spam into different comment folder and then deletes the spam.

My tiny unheard of blog is getting killed with spam comments.  I have turned off comments for a few days to research the best ways of dealing with the spam.
Spammers, please find another line of work.
