I am now a former reluctant user of Facebook. I have signed on and use the site almost daily. Friends include current Sherwood members, Sherwood College and Career students, youth group members from Immanuel, the old gang from Roswell Street and even some old friends from my high school days. It has been fun to catch up with people I have not seen in the past 8 to 20 years.
As with most things, there are features I like and don’t. I could live without the ads and the silly games. The event options could be more open to ministry use. I use the wall, email, the mini-news feed, twitter and the photo application. We have also setup a group for the College and Career.
Thanks to Patrick and Stephanie who pulled me over the edge of doubt. Thanks to Dee for teaching me the ropes - especially the privacy settings. You can find me using my church email address.
